Ever stopped to consider what's in your shed and how much it's worth? Despite the continuing low crime figures in East Dorset sheds and outbuildings remain vulnerable to thieves looking for garden tools and machinery, cycles and sporting equipment all of which are often left unsecured in sheds and garages. Why burgle a house when there's a shed left unlocked in the garden?

To raise awareness of this problem and show people how they should keep these items secure, East Dorset Neighbourhood and Home Watch members together with Dorset Police the Crime Prevention Panel and East Dorset District Council have launched their own particular brand of SHEDUCATION.

Designed to look like a garden shed, the Sheducation trailer is fully equipped with a range of affordable security products that can all be used on sheds and outbuildings to make them safe. These can be seen and purchased on the vehicle.

The vehicle is available to any Home or Neighbourhood Watch in East Dorset and can be booked by contacting Brian Frecknall on 01425 476558 or Any Watch in East Dorset may hire the Sheducation vehicle, the only stipulation being that there will be 2 trained members at the event. It is now possible for the vehicle to be hired elsewhere in Dorset, please ask for details.
